Day 8
Today we learned how to make pasta from scratch, I’m every Italian way possible! In Bologna, Cantina Bentivoglio we enjoyed another 4 course lunch with different types of pastas featured.
Primo:
Bowtie pasta with broccoli and bell peppers and a side of a thicker cut pasta with bolognese sauce
Secondo:
Traditional bolognese lasagna with tortolloni
Second secondo:
Lol this dish came by surprise because we weren’t served an antipasti, but we did get a third dish. Anyways, it was another spinach flan-like dish with fontina cream
Dolci:
A whip cream like dessert covered in chocolate shavings. This dish is made with mascapone cheese and sugar mixed together, as the chef explained to me.
My favorite meal of all time, literally ever. The lasagna in Bologna is unforgettable and the pasta, untouchable. I can see why Bologna is often referenced as the food capitol of Italy!
